If you’re looking for an easy way to relax and de-stress after a long day, then you should definitely try meditation! As a 18 year old student, I’m no stranger to the stresses of everyday life, so I know how important it is to find ways to stay calm and relaxed. Meditation is an incredible way to do this, and with the right techniques, you can easily get better at it. In this article, I’ll share some tips on how to get better at meditation, so that it can become a part of your daily routine. From mindful breathing exercises to guided visualizations, I’ll show you how to make the most of your meditation practice and reap its many benefits. Let’s get started!

Find a Quiet Place

Finding a quiet place to meditate can be a challenge if you’re a student living in a dorm or small apartment. But don’t worry, it is possible! When you’re looking for a spot to practice, try to find a place with minimal distractions, like a small corner of your room or a spot in the library. If possible, try to find somewhere outdoors to meditate, like a park or beach. Just make sure it’s a place that’s free from loud noise or people.

Set a Timer

Setting a timer is a great way to get better at meditation. To get the most out of your meditation session, I suggest setting a timer for however long you want to meditate and sticking to it. This will help you stay focused and ensure that you don’t go over the time you set for yourself. Plus, it will also help you keep track of how much you’re meditating.

Focus on Breath

Meditation is a great way to reduce stress and increase mindfulness. To get better at meditation, it’s important to focus on your breath. Take deep, slow breaths and focus on the feeling of air entering and leaving your body. You may find it helpful to count your breaths or repeat a mantra to help stay focused. With practice, you’ll be able to get better at meditation and experience the benefits it has to offer.

Notice Thoughts

As a student, I’ve found that one of the most important parts of meditation is learning to notice my thoughts and feelings. When I’m meditating, I take a few moments to simply observe the thoughts that come up. Then, I let them pass away without judgment. This helps me to become more aware of my inner world and to get better at meditation.

Let Go of Judgement

Meditating isn’t always easy, especially when it comes to letting go of judgement. I’ve found that if I focus on my breath and really try to let go of the judgemental thoughts, I can find more clarity and peace in the practice. It’s helped me to pay more attention to how I’m feeling and to just accept where I am rather than trying to be perfect.

Practice Regularly

If you want to get better at meditation, then regular practice is key. Making time for it each day, no matter how busy you get, will help you to eventually become a pro. It may seem difficult at first, but once you get into the flow of it, it will become a part of your daily routine. Don’t give up! Stick with it and you’ll soon reap the rewards.
